Made from phenolic resin and cellulose fibre, our Phenolic Duct offers numerous advantages over traditional steel ductwork. 

The HVAC industry commonly uses sheet metal for ducts. However, there has been a recent increase in the use of phenolic duct board ductwork due to its extensive benefits over traditional sheet metal ductwork.

Performance:

 

Phenolic ductwork has exceptional thermal insulation properties, which reduces energy loss between the heating/cooling source and the desired areas of air delivery. Sheet metal ductwork does not have sufficient insulation and absorbs heat energy from the surrounding areas, leading to temperature loss during the transfer process. As a result, phenolic duct board ductwork provides better temperature management and comfort in the desired areas.

 

Durability:

 

Phenolic ductwork is tougher and more resistant to wear and tear than sheet metal ductwork. It is more resistant to weather damage, mold, mildew, and other environmental elements. In contrast, sheet metal ductwork is more susceptible to environmental effects and is vulnerable to dents and damage due to external impacts.
